# What a Person Does in Illuminance

Once the technological and economic layers are understood, the next question becomes clear: what role does a person play within the system?

Illuminance is designed so that participants are not required to deal with technical complexity or possess professional trading skills.

The system itself handles:

* market analysis
* data processing
* decision-making
* trade execution

This means that a participant does not interact with the market directly.\
Instead, they connect to an infrastructure that is already built to operate within it.

In traditional models, the individual is at the center of the process.\
They analyze, make decisions, and are fully responsible for the outcome.

In Illuminance, this logic is reversed.

The participant connects to the system, and the system performs the operational work.

This removes the human factor as a limiting element and allows the process to operate with greater speed, consistency, and scale.

The role of the participant is therefore not to execute, but to choose how to engage with the system.

Depending on their goals and level of involvement, a person can participate in different ways, ranging from passive capital allocation to active ecosystem development.

***

This model shifts the participant’s role from manual execution to strategic involvement, where the system handles complexity and the individual defines their level of participation.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://illuminance.gitbook.io/docs/the-role-of-the-participant-in-the-ecosystem/what-a-person-does-in-illuminance.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
